SFB 501 - Project D1: Application System "Buildings"

PSiGene

Example - Step V

[PSiGene]

Step V: Running the Simulator

The simulator is controlled by the following buttons of the PSiGene control panel:

ImageNameDescription
Build Build the instances for a specified house (see previous page)
Destruct Remove all created instances
Start Start the simulator
Pause Pauses the simulator. Execution continues after pushing the start button
Stop Stops the simulator. The simulation cannot be resumed after it has been stoped! - use pause if you wish to continue.
Rescale Normally, the simulation is done in realtime (one second simulation time corresponentd to one second "real" time). Using the rescale feature, the simulation time can be accelerated against real time.

After creating the building instances and starting the simulator, three windows (one for each each object with attatched display patterns) will open: two displaying the temperature of each room and one to control the radiator in room1 (compare patterns DisplayGraph and DisplaySlider). The slider in the radiator window can be used to directly manipulate the temperature of the radiator and other windows display a graph monitoring the actual temperature (see the following screen shot)
