Modeling Software Architecture Using Domain-Specific Patterns
First Working IFIP Conference on Software Architecture (WICSA 1), Kluwer Academic Publishers, February 1999
Abstract
In this paper we present a domain specific modelling approach. We use class
diagrams and design patterns as major modelling notations and utilize code
generation techniques to create an application. Certain architectural aspects
of these applications can explicitly be modelled using special patterns.
As an example, an adaption of the Pipes&Filters pattern is presented which can
be used as modelling entity, and which provides a code generator to automatically
implement different dataflow mechanisms from a formal model.
